Kyle Lowry injury status vs. Mavs

The Heat initially had Lowry listed as questionable for Saturday's showdown with left knee soreness, per the NBA's official injury report. Miami fans will be glad to know, however, that Lowry has not been upgraded to available against the Mavs.

In other injury news relevant to the Heat, star center Bam Adebayo (right hip contusion) has been ruled out.

Lowry, 37, is in his 17th year in the NBA and second as a member of the storied Heat franchise. He's averaging 11.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game across 51 appearances this season (44 starts).

The former Villanova star is struggling to shoot the ball efficiently from behind the three-point arc in the 2022-23 campaign, at least by his standards — Lowry's current 34.6% three-point percentage is his lowest since the 2014-15 season.

Expect the Heat to beat the Mavericks at home on Saturday, especially with Lowry now in the lineup. After all, the Mavericks have struggled to win games away from home all season, as they own a 15-24 road record. But with regard to the question, Is Kyle Lowry playing tonight vs. the Mavs, the answer is yes.
