The Miami Heat want to trade Dion Waiters, and a potential trade for Jimmy Butler would be the logical time to include Waiters. Now, however, it appears that the Heat are trying to move on from Waiters even if they can't directly include him in a potential Butler deal according to Five Reasons Sports Network.

Waiters could make sense in a trade for Butler, but that may be a deal that includes a third, or potentially fourth-team. It's unclear how much interest there is in Waiters around the league. He still has three years and $41 million left on his current deal.

Trading Waiters is made that much more difficult by his injury-riddled past. He's dealt with multiple injuries over the last couple seasons and he's only played in 76 games for the Heat during that span. He's played well when he's been healthy, but the injury history could still weigh heavy on the minds of general managers assessing a potential trade for Waiters.

To make matters worse for Waiters, he appears to have come into training camp out of shape and the internet roasted him for it. It's unclear if there is a correlation between the Heat's desire to trade Waiters and his interesting physique heading into training camp.

Trade or no trade, hopefully, Waiters can return to the court healthy and regain the form that helped him play some of the best basketball of his career. When healthy, he's a scoring two guard that can definitely play a part on a playoff team.
