Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn has crash landed on the scene during his rookie season and while he has made his name primarily on the offensive side of the court, during the second quarter of Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets, it was a defensive play that he made against Rockets guard Russell Westbrook that will make the highlight reel.

While the Heat entered halftime down by 24 points, Nunn's defensive play marked one of the team's premier highlights. Playing without leading scorer Jimmy Butler, Nunn was expected to take on a larger role in the team's gameplan.

Entering the night, Nunn had collected just four blocks all season. It's not often that Westbrook gets erased at the rim, especially in transition, but Nunn, who has placed himself in conversation for the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award, got the best of him when the former MVP was least expecting it.
