Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker was the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Kyrie Irving was the first pick and selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Derrick Williams went second overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Enes Kanter rounded out the top three by going to the Utah Jazz.

Why is this relevant you ask? Well, on Friday night, Kemba Walker became the first player from the 2011 NBA Draft to total 10,000 points and 3,000 assists in his NBA career.

Kyrie Irving is a superstar point guard, but his career began with injuries, otherwise he probably would have accomplished this feat first.

Derrick Williams was a bust and isn't in the league anymore. On the other hand, Enes Kanter is a big man, so there's no way he's going to get those assists numbers.

The only other point guard — along with Irving — to go ahead of Kemba Walker in that draft was Brandon Knight, who isn't the player Walker is today and has had injury issues as well.

Some will say the 2011 draft class wasn't that impressive besides Irving and Walker. Regardless, this is a tremendous accomplishment for Walker, who is still one of the most underrated players in the NBA even after all these years. The All-Star guard entered Friday averaging 26.0 points and 6.3 assists per game.
