Hornets star LaMelo Ball’s historic feat he’s the youngest to ever do
Any doubts many people had about LaMelo Ball have been shut down this season. The young Charlotte Hornets point guard has been a revelation for the squad. He’s built off of his outstanding rookie season, blossoming into an elite talent capable of winning games for his team.
LaMelo Ball’s performance in the Hornets’ scintillating matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks is further proof of his record-breaking brilliance. StatMuse noted that Ball’s 36-point, 9-assist, and 8 threes performance made him the youngest to ever reach that statline.

LaMelo Ball’s 36-point masterpiece against the defending champions Bucks was a sight to behold. Against one of the league’s best defenses, the Hornets star amped up his game, going toe-to-toe against some of the best lockdown guys in the league. Hell, he even dropped Jrue-freaking-Holiday one time. He was a man possessed in that game, eager to prove his worth to the league.

He very nearly willed the Hornets to a win, too. With less than ten seconds left in the game, LaMelo Ball hit a game-tying catch-and-shoot triple. They seemed destined to go into overtime, until Giannis Antetokounmpo did what he does best and saved Milwaukee with a go-ahead layup. Despite that, the Hornets ALMOST grabbed victory at the buzzer, as Miles Bridges’ halfcourt heave rolled out of the rim.
Despite the heartbreaking loss, Ball and the Hornets have earned the respect of their peers. Taking the defending champions to the brink of defeat is a great sign of things to come. For his part, Giannis himself asked for a jersey swap with the young LaMelo Ball, proving the guard’s entry into the elite territory.
