The recently concluded Rising Stars Challenge had its fair share of entertainment, including half-court shots, 20-point performances, and high-flying dunks. Charlotte Hornets sophomore Miles Bridges of Team USA especially shined in the second half. The Hornets forward tweeted, “Alright bet” at halftime, and exploded from then on.

He then followed up with a series of filthy jams, none more explosive than an off-the backboard pass to himself.

Bridges proceeded to receive his award, with Team USA winning 151-131 against Team World. The 21-year-old racked up 20 points, as well as five rebounds and five assists.

Although the Hornets' high-flyer was not selected in last year’s Rising Stars Challenge, he participated in the Slam Dunk Contest. The former first-round draft pick is now on his second year, and is putting up respectable numbers at 13 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Speaking of his experience, Bridges said, “It’s just a blessing… I’m just happy to be a part of this.”

Fellow Team USA representatives Zion Williamson and Ja Morant also showed out. Besides being frontrunners of the Rookie of the Year race, the two put on a show as temporary teammates. The rookies ended with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Sophomores Trae Young and Luka Doncic also showed up in the festivities. Atlanta’s Young put up 18 points and 7 assists for Team USA. Team World’s Luka Doncic, on the other hand, contributed 16 points and 5 assists, including a half-court heave.

The first-time All-Stars are also slated to play on the All-Star game as starters, again in opposing teams. Young will play for Team Giannis, while the Doncic represents Team LeBron.
