Rookie dunking sensation Miles Bridges is back at it again. As the Charlotte Hornets take on the Sacramento Kings, the young stud delivered a nasty dunk towards the end of the first quarter.

The dunk came off of a Tony Parker assist that saw Bridges able to sneak in front of the defender Harry Giles, giving him and Marvin Bagley front row seats. The former Michigan State Spartan has been electric in his rookie season, racking up dunk highlight after dunk highlight.

His knack for throwing it down with serious showmanship has led to various pleas of including him in this year’s dunk contest at All-Star weekend. Considering he maxed out his vertical test when he was just a freshman in college, it might be a no brainer to make sure he’s in the contest.

In addition to some incredible slams, Bridges has been able to find meaningful minutes and a regular role with the Charlotte. The Hornets, who have their eyes set on a playoff seed, have played Miles 19.3 minutes per game in all but two of their 43 games this season. In those games, he is averaging 6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.6 blocks, and 0.5 steals. At only 20-years-old, it is looking like Charlotte has found a player they will look to grow into an integral part of their team.

As for the dunk contest, don’t rule it out. Bridges has expressed interest in participating, plus All-Star weekend taking place in Charlotte this year could help his case. Though, with dunks like this, he might not need any help.
