The new MLB season is almost upon us and baseball card collectors are hitting the market harder than ever. Of course, Topps won't be left behind as their upcoming products are meant to capitalize on the hype surrounding baseball. Among the sets that will come out soon is the latest Clearly Authentic brand.

Even as early as last month, previews of this Topps baseball card set have been circulating around. The cards from this brand are made of acetate to give them a unique look when held in hand. But unlike most products in the market right now, Clearly Authentic only has one card in it.

Baseball card collectors who are interested in this product will only get one single piece of acetate when purchasing it in the future. The good news here is that there won't be any base cards or inserts here. Topps has gone the extra mile by only including signed acetate-based cards in each pack of Clearly Authentic. That's why buyers will get a pretty good chance to hit cards of current MLB stars, rookies, or legends from this product.

And while the checklist hasn't been released by Topps yet, the number of parallels and insert autos from this set is looking good. Baseball card collectors can go hunting for Green (#/99), Black (#/75), Red (#/50), Blue (#/25), Purple (#/10), Orange (#/5), and Gold One of One signed autos. And along with those parallels, there are specialized insert autos that are included. One good example is this Tek Autographs card of Shohei Ohtani.

This auto is numbered to 199 copies and features the MLB's hottest stars in a distinct TEK-style card look. Baseball card collectors can also chase 1955 Reimagining Autographs, 1987  Topps Autographs, both of which use a vintage-inspired look, Generation Now. All three insert autos have their own parallels and short-printed sub-sets, ranging from those with 199 copies to Topps' coveted One of One cards.

But while the MLB's newest season is about to start soon, baseball card collectors would have to wait until July 20 to get their hands on this Topps product. Those interested to buy should also know that a case of 2022 Clearly Authentic contains 20 boxes with one-card packs in each of them.

At this point in time, there isn't any word yet on how much a single box would cost. What's certain, though, is that these cards look sick and it has a good chance of heating up in the market once it releases.
