Isaiah Thomas' dream for an NBA comeback is still very much alive at this point, and as it appears, it looks like he has his eyes set on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Thomas recently responded to a Kendrick Perkins tweet demanding that the Clippers give the 5-foot-9 point guard a shot, in what is a clear indication of his agreement with Perk's strong suggestion:

The last we saw Thomas in the NBA was during the previous campaign with the Washington Wizards. The two-time All-Star averaged 12.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, while also connecting on 2.0 triples per game on a career-best 41.3-percent clip.

Thomas has been with four different teams over the past three seasons. Injuries have gotten in the way of what could have been a tremendous career for the veteran, and it's been a tough past few years for him.
It now feels like an eternity from the time that Thomas was an MVP contender for the Boston Celtics. That was actually just three years ago, by the way. Nevertheless, he has continued working on his game, and while he can no longer average close to 30 points a night, he does still appear to have some gas left in the tank.
For their part, the Clippers have yet to find success in the offseason, and they could use a few additions to their squad. In Kendrick Perkins' mind, signing Thomas could be a step in the right direction for Los Angeles.
Needless to say, Thomas himself could not agree more.
