Free agent guard Isaiah Thomas is searching for a team still on the lookout for a ready and able ball-handler to come off the bench. While many NBA franchises may still be unsure of Thomas' capabilities following his hip injury, the 2017 MVP candidate made sure to drop some need-to-know jewels for those who are considering signing him.

Thomas participated in some legendary five-on-five runs last month in Los Angeles, with players such as Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and John Wall headlining the pickup games. According to his NBA peers, Thomas could be on par to making a comeback.

“Those guys were like, ‘Damn, welcome back. You really look like yourself,'” Isaiah Thomas recalled to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe. “That only gave me more confidence to be able to play the game again. I mean, I was blowing by people. I haven't blown by anybody since I had a Celtics uniform on. When I was able to blow by MVP-caliber players, that told me my burst and power and speed are there. I really feel like I'm back.”

After being regarded as one of the premier guards in the NBA, Thomas became a journeyman after being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He had multiple stops afterwards with teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and most recently the Washington Wizards, which highlighted some vintage performances. Still, the Tacoma, Washington native wasn't able to return to his stardom and fell out of rotations.

He's hopeful, however, that NBA teams that are hesitant will look at his current workouts as a suggestion to what he can achieve on the court.
