Isaiah Thomas made quite the impression on social media, not only by making a fashion statement, but by making a financial one as well.
The 5-foot-9 dynamo posted a picture of a pair of slides adorned with the Brinks truck in one and a trail of dollar bills in the other, a clear reference of talks about a potential contract extension with the Boston Celtics.
The truck also reads “Isaiah” in place of “Brinks” for added emphasis.
Ever since last summer, Thomas had repeatedly said that the team will have to back up the proverbial Brinks truck in order to retain his services.
The diminutive floor general backed up every word of that claim, finishing third in the league's scoring list with 28.9 points per game and leading the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals, plowing past the death of his sister Chyna — finding out a day before the start of the playoffs.
Thomas has taken his game to another level and is bound to be rewarded for it whether it is by the Celtics or another team, but whoever hopes to make him a part of their franchise better bring that Brinks truck along with them.
