Activision Blizzard COO Daniel Alegre announced Blizzard President J. Allen Brack's departure from the company in an email sent to investors today. A copy of this email is available on the official post.

In addition to that is the announcement of J. Allen Brack's two new replacements. Former Vicarious Visions head Jen Oneal is now one of Blizzard's new “co-leaders.” Alongside her is former Blizzard Executive Vice-President, Mike Ybarra.

Jen Oneal has been working in Activision Blizzard for 18 years, mainly dealing with the Diablo and Overwatch franchises. Meanwhile, Mike Ybarra has been working in games for 20 years, 7 of them with Microsoft's Xbox Division. He is also a veteran of the Battle.net team.

This is the first big shakeup in the company's top brass since the recent lawsuit. It details the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing's two-year investigation of the company. They filed several allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination.

Notably, J. Allen Brack is not specifically accused of harassment or discrimination in the lawsuit. However, it does mention him as an executive who failed to take substantial action when employees voiced their concerns. His departure is officially described to be “to pursue new opportunities.”

He was most well-known for his time as the Executive Producer and Vice President for World of Warcraft. He joined Blizzard in 2006. His official statement reads as follows:

“I am confident that Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra will provide the leadership Blizzard needs to realize its full potential and will accelerate the pace of change. I anticipate they will do so with passion and enthusiasm and that they can be trusted to lead with the highest levels of integrity and commitment to the components of our culture that make Blizzard so special.”
