Retired NBA players seem to have a thing for boxing Jake Paul for some weird reason. Former 15-year NBA vet Kendall Gill is the latest former athlete to throw his name in the ring (literally) and has stepped up as a potential next challenger for the infamous YouTube star.

Gill, who currently works as an analyst for the Chicago Bulls, challenged Paul to a boxing match a day after he knocked out former UFC Welterweight contender Ben Askren.

Gill, 52, even posted highlight clips of himself in a boxing match as well as some intense boxing workout and sparring sessions.

If this fight somehow materializes, Gill will be the second former NBA player to fight Paul. Three-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion Nate Robinson was viciously KO'ed by the online star last year.

Jake Paul certainly has no shortage of challengers following his one-round demolition of Askren. He's made himself a walking target with his brash attitude. Plus, any fight will him will warrant a huge payday.

Looks like Kendall Gill wants a piece of that big bucks.

Most fans and pundits, meanwhile, will probably roll their eyes if Paul does accept another fight with an older and retired pro-athlete.

The public consensus is that he needs to face a legitimate boxer this time around. Sure, Gil is 28 years older than Paul but he does have some boxing experience. Gill had his first professional bout at age 37 back in 2005. Like Paul, he also has an undefeated 4-0 record with three of those wins coming by technical knockouts.
