After his knockout of Ben Askren in their April bout, it sure looks like Jake Paul is getting some sort of respect–if you call it that. In his fight against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, the former YouTube star is actually the top dog.

Yes, you read that right. A veteran fighter who has a pretty decent punch and boxing game is actually the underdog in a match with someone who has three (albeit questionable) professional fights.

Here are the opening odds for the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley fight, per Chamatkar Sandhu of BBC Sports.

The odds are certainly shocking to say the least. After all, Woodley is still in good condition, having last fought in March 2021.

There are a number of factors that might have affected the odds, though. First and foremost is that Woodley is already 39–way older than Askren who's just 34 years old. He has also lost four straight matches over the last three years, and it could be said he is more of a wrestler than a boxer despite his decent punching power.

As for Jake Paul, he is only 24 years old, an advantage he proved to be beneficial when he fought Askren. While he hasn't really fought a real boxer yet in his young career, his three knockouts in as many fights are enough for sports betting sites to give him the advantage this time around.
