Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul is the latest to send out a congratulatory message to his good buddy, Dwyane Wade, following reports of Wade now becoming a part-owner of the Utah Jazz franchise.

Paul took to Twitter to share his reaction to this huge development, as he also heaped praise on the Jazz organization for making what he believes to be a great decision.

Just a few years into his retirement and already, Dwyane Wade has decided to venture into sports ownership. It isn't at all surprising that he has decided to invest in an NBA team, especially considering how he spent several years in the league establishing himself as one of the greatest to ever play the game.

The bad news for Wade and the Jazz is that on the exact same day of their announcement of this new-found partnership, their star player goes down due to injury. Donovan Mitchell was forced off the court during Friday's tilt against the Indiana Pacers for what looks like a serious ankle injury. Initial X-rays came out negative, though, but more tests are expected to be done on the 24-year-old.

The Jazz are the best team in the NBA right now, and it's no coincidence that Wade chose to join the ownership group of this franchise. Losing Mitchell for an extended period will be a significant blow for Utah, though, so we're pretty sure D-Wade will be joining the rest of the Jazz supporters as they hope for a positive update on their superstar's status moving forward.
