Jazz star Donovan Mitchell’s 4-word reaction to Joel Embiid getting him a technical foul

Jazz, Donovan Mitchell, Sixers, Joel Embiid

Fans saw a possible preview of the NBA Finals on Wednesday when the Utah Jazz matched up against the Philadelphia 76ers. Out of all the amazing plays that took place, one lasting image was that of Sixers star Joel Embiid asking the referees to slap a technical foul on Donovan Mitchell, which they called.

This led to a funny response from Mitchell.

Philadelphia came out on top in the game, 131-123, which ended in overtime. Joel Embiid looked a legitimate MVP contender after finishing with 40 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. On the other hand, Mitchell did not have the most efficient night but led the Jazz with 33 points, eight boards, six assists and a steal.

Utah has dropped three of their last four games and could use a reprieve by way of the All-Star Break, although Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert will be playing in the All-Star Game once again.

Based on the eye test, teams seem to be playing harder and giving their all when going up against the league-leading Jazz. Nonetheless, Utah has one of the most complete rosters in the league and is elite on both sides of the ball. While the whole offense revolved around Mitchell before, the team is now moving the ball much more fluidly and lighting it up from deep.

The team also takes and makes a lot of 3-pointers. They have a stingy defense anchored by Gobert, who might win another Defensive Player of the Year, while Royce O’Neal has been a revelation as a versatile forward.
