Who knew that Ahmad Rashad played football for the Vikings? Apparently Donovan Mitchell didn't. The Utah Jazz star took to Twitter to tell the world he didn't know Rashad played football.

This came after Bleacher Report noted that Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was the first Viking to score four touchdowns since Rashad did it in 1979.

While hilarious, it's not all that surprising for a player the age of Donovan Mitchell to only think of Rashad as a broadcaster.

He has been broadcasting since the 90s, when Donovan Mitchell was born (1996). Many other former players turned broadcasters are only thought of as broadcasters now, such as Howie Long and Cris Collinsworth. Some other notable players who have made big names for themselves going up to the broadcast booth include Phil Rizzuto, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan.

Donovan Mitchell needs to know that Rashad played in the NFL for 11 years between three teams, with his longest stint being with the Vikings. He made it to the Pro Bowl four times and was named one of the 50 greatest Vikings of all time, as well as being named to the Vikings Ring of Honor. Before he made it to the NFL, he played for the Oregon Ducks. His accomplishments with Oregon include being named an All-American in 1971 and being inducted into both the Oregon Sports and College Football Hall of Fame.

Donovan Mitchell is aware that Rashad has covered sports as a broadcaster. He is most well known for narrating the NBA championship highlight films every year since 2012, and for being the NBC courtside reporter who cultivated a strong relationship with NBA icon Michael Jordan.
