It has been an incredible season to date for the Utah Jazz as they glide into the playoffs with aspirations of being the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Currently, the Jazz are tied with the Suns as top dogs in the West, with both boasting records of 47-18. A key contributor yet again for the Jazz this year has been forward Joe Ingles. Ingles has been a flamethrower on the floor for Utah, so much so that he's nearing historical marks that he didn't even understand or realize.

According to Tim Macmahon of ESPN, Ingles is closing in on a potential .700 true shooting percentage year, something that has been accomplished only three times in NBA history. Ingles has seen the tweets referencing the possibility, as he currently has a true shooting percentage of .692 with just a few games left in the Jazz' season. But he said even after the tweets and a google search, he still doesn't understand what it is.

“I honestly Googled it one time to try to figure out what they're talking about, and I had f—ing no idea still after reading it,” Ingles says. “I didn't understand it when they said it; I didn't understand it when I Googled it.” – Ingles

True shooting percentage, simply put, is a combination of your field goal percentage, three-point percentage and free-throw percentages all bundled into one. Ingles current mark of .692 would rank ninth in NBA history. To say the Jazz forward isn't concerned with the mark would be an understatement.

“Screw it,” Ingles says. “Let me just keep shooting and see if it keeps going in.”

The Jazz are closing in on a possible one seed and Ingles might be closing in on some NBA history in the process. The season of success keeps trending upwards for Utah.
