Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio strained his hamstring in his team's loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night and will be re-evaluated in a week, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

Rubio played in just five minutes before exiting the game against the Bucks, scoring nine points off 4-of-5 shooting.

On the year, Rubio is averaging 12.8 points, 6.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 29.2 minutes per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor, 33.7 percent from three-point range and 84.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Rubio is in his second year with the Jazz after being acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves during the summer of 2017. An elite passer, Rubio was originally selected by the Timberwolves with the fifth overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft.

Likened to Hall of Fame point guard Magic Johnson by some upon being drafted because of that passing prowess, Rubio came over to the NBA for the 2011-12 campaign and registered 10.6 points, 8.2 assists, 4.2 boards and 2.2 steals per game, making just 35.7 percent of his field-goal attempts.

Needless to say, Rubio has certainly not turned out to be Magic. Nonetheless, he's still been a steady, solid player throughout his eight-year NBA career.

While he has always struggled in terms of shot-making, Rubio's terrific court vision has shined in every season of his career and he's consistently been one of the better perimeter defenders in the league.

The 28-year-old spent six years in Minnesota, battling injuries early on in his career but finally getting healthy and staying healthy since the 2015-16 campaign.

He owns career averages of 11 points, 7.8 assists, 4.2 boards and two steals across 31.1 minutes a night.
