Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert couldn't care less about the recent hate he received from Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. In fact, he sees it as a proof that he is doing something right.

Ahead of the Jazz's game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, Gobert opened up to reporters about the issue. He even took a shot at Green, saying that the “more noise” they make, the harder it is to take them seriously.

Rudy Gobert has been one of the league's best defenders for years now, and he has been rightly acknowledged for his impact with three Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2018, 2019 and 2021–only missing it in 2020 after Giannis Antetokounmpo took the honors.

While Gobert's defensive capabilities has been limited on manning the painted area and protecting the rim, that doesn't mean he is not as effective as other all-around defenders. His presence alone forces teams to either rely on shooting too much or change their shots just to get over him when attacking the rim. The Jazz All-Star is an elite paint defender and rim protector, which is why it's always hard to get things going offensively against him.

However, those limitations made some players question if he should've really been the Defensive Player of the Year. Draymond Green, for one, didn't like that he was compared to the Frenchman as a defender and threw a shade at him while passionately rejecting the comparison.

Green is hardly alone with the criticisms of Gobert, as the same narrative has been repeatedly mentioned over the years. By the looks of it, though, the Jazz big man is used to it already and knows how to cancel the noise.
