Utah Jazz superstar Rudy Gobert wasn't going to let Ja Morant ruin his block party. In the second quarter of Game 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies, Gobert met the high-flying youngster at the rim with an insane two-handed block to cancel the potential Morant poster.

Watch Gobert deny Morant's entry to the bucket here:

That's a two-time DPOY right there.

The 7'1″ center (who has a 7'9″ wingspan by the way) has been one of the best defenders in the league for quite some time now. Gobert's presence in the frontcourt has been one of the biggest reasons why the Jazz enter the post-season with the best record in the league. The 28-year-old Saint-Quentin native is averaging a career-high of 2.7 swats per game this season and is looking like a lock to win his third DPOY trophy in four years.

For those who are still doubting if Gobert deserves this award then maybe ask someone like Ja Morant?

After quite a controversial year last season with him contracting COVID-19 and all the drama that the virus brought along, Gobert and the Jazz seem to have brushed that all away as they look to make a statement in this season's playoffs. They fell to the young and hungry Grizzlies in Game 1 but sure looked to be locked in in Game 2 to hopefully even out the series, 1-1.
