While the most important signings NBA teams usually make is on players and coaches they add to their fold, there are also some that go under the radar, but are equally as important. The Utah Jazz may have just had that kind of addition recently, by bolstering their training staff with someone who will bring a lot of experience to their table.

The team has been successful in luring former Phoenix Suns health care extraordinaire Mike Elliott and inking him to a deal. He will hold the position of Vice President of Performance Health Care, and is expected to bring a lot of changes to the Jazz’s strength and conditioning practices.

Elliott has spent the last 14 seasons with the Suns and was named their director of the team's performance in 2015. He was in charge of their exercises and conditioning drills, and even the players’ nutrition programs. He is widely considered around the league as one of the best at what he does, as he also won the NBA’s  Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award in 2014.

With Elliott's knowledge and experience, the Jazz players are definitely in good hands, especially with their strength and conditioning. His addition may be low-key, but could make a lot of difference in their performance this year, which could keep them healthier than ever before
