Quin Snyder rocked the basketball world on Monday after he announced his decision to step down as the head coach of the Utah Jazz. There were already rumors circling about Snyder's desire to take a hiatus from coaching but it was still a bit of a shock when he finally announced his decision to leave his post.

Several names have already popped up early on as potential replacements for Snyder. Marc Berman of the New York Post now reports that the Jazz could be keeping tabs on LeBron James' former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel:

According to sources, former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts is the early favorite and recently fired Lakers coach Frank Vogel also could command a look. Reportedly, Celtics assistant Will Hardy will get an interview, too.

As the report states, Terry Stotts is currently considered the frontrunner for the Jazz opening. However, Vogel is a pretty big name, and the former NBA champion coach will certainly command a lot of attention in this race.

Both Stotts and Vogel will have some competition for the job, though, with no less than seven names already being mentioned as possible head coach candidates for the Utah Jazz.
