With the this season's trade deadline only three weeks away, more and more players are getting included in trade chatters as possible ones to be moved. Perhaps one of the most rumored teams is the Utah Jazz, who are reportedly gaining interest from other franchises looking for trade partners.

Rodney Hood, Alec Burks, Joe Johnson and Derrick Favors have been identified as players some teams have set their eyes on, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune. However, it has been a distraction to the Jazz. The uncertainties about these players' futures, coupled with the injuries on the team,  is taking its toll on the Jazz, as evidenced by the team's subpar record.

“With the NBA’s trade deadline three weeks away, Utah’s roster could change — perhaps dramatically — in the near future. Derrick Favors knows he may be traded soon. Alec Burks, Joe Johnson, and even Rodney Hood, have all been identified as possible trade pieces in recent reports.”

“The uncertainty, the injuries, the losing have taken a toll. The Jazz locker room has not been an especially happy place in recent weeks, and some of that unhappiness has seeped onto the floor. Simply, it’s tough to have multiple players on a team mentioned in trade talk and not have a residual effect.”

The Jazz are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference with an 18-26 record and are looking to be part of a dogfight for one of the last playoff spots in their conference. That may not be the case though if their front office decides to part ways with the aforementioned players as they could opt to just rebuild if they think this season is already a lost cause for them.

The direction the Jazz will head to is still anybody's guess at this point, but one that's certain is that their situation is something worth monitoring. Any of the four players could be key contributors to a playoff-bound team or contender and it will be very interesting to see if they'll have new jerseys on next month or remain in Salt Lake City.
