Rudy Gobert's future with the Utah Jazz is in serious jeopardy. After another embarrassing defeat in the NBA playoffs, the All-Star big man may have run his course with Utah. A trade may be necessary for both sides. There are already teams that have an interest in acquiring him.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the three potential suitors that have been discussed the most for Gobert are the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors.

Utah's steadfast commitment to Mitchell has naturally led rival executives to paint Gobert as the more likely trade candidate should the Jazz explore breaking up the duo. Dallas, Atlanta and Toronto are the potential Gobert destinations that have been discussed most among league personnel. But while Jazz figures have clearly recognized their roster's need for defensive improvements, moving on from Gobert would seem directly counterintuitive to fixing those shortcomings.

Each of those teams makes sense for the Jazz's defensive stalwart. Gobert would add to a Mavericks team that took a big leap on defense under new head coach Jason Kidd. The Hawks need all the defense they can get. The Raptors have tons of potential to be a great defense but could be even better with one of the best rim protectors in the league.

Although the Jazz prefer to keep Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the warning signs with that duo and this team as a whole have been exposed. The Rudy Gobert contract may be too big to move, anyway. He will be owed roughly $170 million over the next four seasons. Still, rival teams are looking at him as a potential upgrade to their rosters.
