Donovan Mitchell has proven to the Utah Jazz that he can be a franchise cornerstone and they rewarded him with a max rookie extension on Sunday. Following his massive contract, Mitchell celebrated by posting a video of himself jumping into a pool.
Mitchell was the No. 13 overall pick of the Jazz in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Louisville. Coming out of college, he was a talented scorer and he's evolved his game even further in his first three seasons in the league.

In his first three seasons, Mitchell has averaged 22.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, four assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Just this past season, he recorded career-highs in points (24), rebounds (4.4), and assists (4.3) per game.
After a strong showing in the regular season, Mitchell really put himself on the map with his performance in the playoffs. The star guard would post an impressive 36.3 points per game despite the Jazz being eliminated in the first round.
Mitchell's new contract is worth $195 million over five years, making him one of the league's highest-paid players. Just like anyone else that would get nearly $200 million, Mitchell celebrated his new contract by taking off his shirt and jumping in a pool.
