Jeremy Lin continues to remain vocal following the rising numbers of anti-Asian-related attacks around the United States. The latest and most devastating one occurred earlier this week in several Atlanta Spas, where eight people were killed by one Caucasian male shooter.

Lin, who has used his platform to speak out for the Asian-American community since the birth of Linsanity a few seasons back, urged pastors and church leaders to give grieving families some space and time to heal.

According to the Taiwanese-American guard, listening and being there for those affected is the best help anyone can give to them right now, instead of using the situation to preach an agenda.

Despite being out of the league this season, Jeremy Lin has grabbed headlines as of late following his revelation of being racially maligned by a fellow G-League player inside the bubble. According to the 32-year-old playmaker, one unnamed athlete referred to him as “coronavirus” while mid-game. The G-League brass has since conducted an investigation about the matter and identified the player involved.

Lin, meanwhile, believes the U.S. still has a long way to go in truly accepting minorities like the Asian community. The one-time NBA champion, who last played for the Toronto Raptors before venturing into the Chinese Basketball Association, has not been shy at all about calling out injustices happening to Asian-Americans on a daily basis.

His stature as an NBA player has not spared him from the injustices, and it seems it continues to this day now that he's a household name.
