The New York Jets have decided to start veteran quarterback Joe Flacco at quarterback on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, instead of young backup Mike White, and Jets' linebacker CJ Mosley has heard enough and seen enough to know that is the right choice.

With a Miami defense that is known for making young quarterbacks look like babies, Mosley knows that it is probably in the Jets' best interest to start Flacco instead of White. Speaking about what is likely to be rookie quarterback Zach Wilson's last game on the sidelines, Mosley went on to tell The New York Post‘s Steve Serby:

“I heard the coach [Robert Saleh] said the decision was based on experience,” Mosley said. “I don’t think he [Mike White] got benched because of a bad game. He brought Joe Flacco for a situation like this, and it’s his time. That’s pretty much the end of the story on that one.”

While Mosley might want the talk about his team's quarterback situation to end, the reality is that it is just beginning. Wilson is coming back to a situation where the team is not sure who the best quarterback out of the three of Wilson, Flacco, and White truly is.

If the team is unable to spot much of a difference, then the tie will definitely be going to Wilson, who the team just spent the second overall pick in the draft on just this past April. It will then be up to the rookie to turn around a season that seems to be circling the drain.
