On Monday, it was reported by Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports and the Athletic that the New York Jets were considering current USC offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Kliff Kingsbury.

The second-year player out LSU is all for the Jets bringing in Kingsbury. This season, the Jets went 4-12 under third-year head coach Todd Bowles. It was time for a culture change, and the Jets are looking to do just that.

Specifically, they are looking for somebody who can work with their young quarterback Sam Darnold. Kingsbury had a top offense in the entire college football landscape while he was coaching for Texas Tech. He was only most recently hired by the USC Trojans after Texas Tech decided to look elsewhere.

He's currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for USC. They had not permitted him to interview for NFL head coaching vacancies, so its unclear whether or not Kingsbury had resigned or if the school gave him permission to look elsewhere.

In his six years at Texas Tech, Kingsbury went 35-40 and made it to three bowl games, winning only one. He's actually an alumn of the school, playing for them before being selected in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

Kingsbury only completed one pass in his entire NFL career. Since then, he bounced around the Canadian Football League, coached at the University of Houston, Texas A&M, and finally landed a head coaching gig at Texas Tech.

The Jets have also shown interest in Bruce Arians and Jim Harbaugh. It remains to be seen who they offer the job.
