For most, the Pro Bowl is a time to relax and hang out with some other players but for New York Jets safety Jamal Adams he used it as a business trip trying to recruit players to New York, including Le'Veon Bell. Adams hasn't talked to Bell directly but did sit down with his agent Adisa Bakari trying to get the star running back to the Big Apple.

“I’ll tell you this: We’re hoping we can grab him,” Adams told The New York Post on radio row at the Super Bowl on Wednesday. Adams is here promoting Pepsi’s Snackbot.

After the season ended, Adams said the team needed more “dawgs,” and evidently, he thinks Bell fits into that category. Adams has reached out to Bell, but he hasn't heard back yet and joked that is frustrating him.

“Man, he still hasn’t hit me back. I’m kind of frustrated with him,” Adams joked. “Nah, I’m not. I’m not frustrated with him at all.”

Bell is going to be the biggest name on the free agent market, but Adams didn't stop there. He told the Post that he also sat down with other guys trying to recruit them to the Jets, although he wouldn't specifically say which guys they were.

“Obviously, we’re young,” Adams said. “Put it like this: We have a bright future, man. They understand that. They understand that we’re just missing a few pieces. As soon as we get that, I think we’ll be fine.”

The Jets do have a young core, and with adding just a few more pieces, this could be a team that starts to compete with the Patriots again in the AFC East.
