The New York Jets lost rookie quarterback Zach Wilson to a sprained PCL during their loss to the New England Patriots. They were quick to find a stopgap with Wilson expected to be out for a handful of weeks, trading for veteran QB Joe Flacco from the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Jets aren't starting Joe Flacco just yet, opting to ride with backup Mike White for their Sunday game against the Cincinnati Bengals. But the former Super Bowl winning QB was vocal about how quickly he expects to get on the field.

Via The New York Post:

“I’ve played long enough to be able to adapt as much as I can on the fly and be ready as soon as possible,” Flacco said Friday.

Flacco is returning after a brief stint with the Jets last season, playing in five games and starting four of them. His familiarity with the team, despite the roster and coaching turnover, was probably a big factor as to why he was brought in amid Zach Wilson's injury.

“You’ve gotta talk to probably the head coach and the offensive coordinator as to what they really see the plan being,” said the veteran Jets QB. “I do see myself — I think I see myself playing here at some point in the next couple weeks. But I don’t really know what they have in mind.”

Expect Joe Flacco throwing for the Jets sooner rather than later.
