Le'Veon Bell and the New York Jets were able to pull out a hard-fought 34-27 win over the New York Giants this afternoon and it was a big win to get themselves back on track. While it likely won't be enough to help them make a push at the postseason, it is still big to take care of business against their in-city rivals.

During the game, Bell got roughed up with a rib injury. Following the win, he took some time to speak out about the injury, simply stating that he got “banged up.” Bell did state that he will be playing next week when the Jets take on the Washington Redskins.

ESPN's Rich Cimini shared the quote from Bell about the injury on Twitter.

Bell has had a roller coaster season so far for the Jets. This afternoon against the Giants, he carried the football 18 times for just 34 yards, but he did get into the end zone. He also caught four passes for 34 yards.

Much has been made about the relationship between Bell and head coach Adam Gase. It was reported earlier this year that Gase did not want the team to sign Bell. Despite his wishes, the Jets have the star running back and they need to figure out a way to get him going.

Prior to the NFL trade deadline, reports broke that New York was open to trading Bell. That could be something that they revisit in the offseason.

All of that being said, the Jets were able to pull out a big win today and it doesn't sound like Bell's injury is anything to worry about.
