The NFL trade deadline passed on Tuesday and the New York Jets decided to hold onto Robby Anderson for the rest of 2019. Just a couple of hours after the deadline was over, Anderson reacted to not being traded by New York.

If you ever watched the movie, The Wolf of Wall Street, you would know that this scene comes from that movie when Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) refuses to leave the business he built despite the charges he was facing.

Of course, Anderson is saying that he is staying with the team that drafted him despite the rumors of him possibly being dealt. The speedy wideout was shopped around ahead of the trade deadline on Tuesday.

But in the end, none of the teams that were interested in him were willing to surrender what the Jets wanted. According to reports, New York was searching for at least a second-round pick.

On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers (and possibly others) reportedly offered a fourth-rounder for Anderson. Nevertheless, the big-play receiver will remain with New York for the rest of the 2019 season.

Before the season began, Anderson signed a one-year, $3.095 million tender with the Jets. Therefore, the Jets seem to be willing to either re-sign him after the season; or they are fine with him departing in free agency.

However, if the Jets aren't going to re-sign him, it makes little to no sense to keep him. The team could get a compensation pick for him if he signs elsewhere but will it be higher than the fourth-round picks that they were offered?

Regardless, Anderson will look to help the Jets get into the win column again in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.
