New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson hasn't exactly gotten off to the greatest start to his NFL career. The team is winless and has scored just 21 points in three games, which doesn't exactly say much about his performances.

However, Jets head coach Robert Saleh still believes that Wilson can live up to the hype of a number two overall pick, despite the rough start. Via PFT:

“He’s suffering every scar you can possibly imagine, but it’s a good thing,” Saleh said. “It really is. Because he is one of those guys who gets to the film room, he gets to the meeting room, he’s asking the right questions, he’s got tremendous process. He’s only going to get better. When it clicks, everyone’s going to see why he was the second overall pick. And it’s just a matter of it clicking.”

The Jets QB has been absolutely terrorized by opponents, being sacked a total of 15 times already. He also possesses just a 55.2% completion rate and has thrown for seven interceptions. It's tough to really find any positives from his first few games at the NFL level, but clearly, Saleh has no doubts that Wilson will be the player they expected.

However, if Wilson doesn't start to figure it out sooner rather than later, Jets fans are going to lose patience. New York will be looking for their first win on Sunday as they take on the Tennessee Titans.
