Twitter was alight yesterday after fake reports surfaced of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick landing a “contract” with the New York Jets.
Even former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile was fooled by the fake tweets.

But did these fake rumors spark interest from Kaepernick's camp.
Take this with a grain of salt, but TMZ reported Kaepernick feels he would be a potential fit with the Jets:
Colin's name was trending on social media on Thursday thanks to a bogus report that CK inked a 1-year, $9 million deal with the Jets. THAT'S FAKE NEWS — but what's real is Colin's interest in Gang Green … with sources telling us Colin feels he would be a great fit with the org.
Our sources say Colin has continued to work out and train like a maniac ever since his NFL workout back in November, where he told teams to “stop being scared” and make an offer already!
The former San Francisco 49ers star has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season after his decision to protest the national anthem sparked controversy throughout the league.
Kaepernick and former Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid settled with the NFL on a collusion case back in February 2019. While Reid received a contract from the Panthers, however, Kaepernick has not been afforded with such an opportunity.
The Jets are still building around Sam Darnold, though it is plausible Kaepernick could come in as a backup. That said, there has been little buzz surrounding Kaepernick since his November workout, and a return to the NFL seems like a long shot.
