Bulls forward Jimmy Butler has been in countless trade rumors this past week. With the draft happening soon, the list of Butler's possible destinations kept on increasing. However, one team can be crossed off the list. According to Steve Bulpett from the Boston Herald, the Boston Celtics have ended their pursuit of the All-Star forward.

After being the rumored frontrunner for a while, it seems like GM Danny Ainge and the Celtics organization are ready to move on to someone else. Butler has been a target of the Celtics during the 2016 Draft as well, but talks were abandoned.

However, the Bulls have other suitors for the forward in, reportedly, the Timberwolves. The list of possible teams for Butler has gradually decreased — it started with the Cavaliers ending their pursuit and now the Celtics.

As for the Celtics, there has been talk about them possibly trading for Knicks young forward Kristaps Pozingis. Along with that, the team also entertained the possibility of going after Pacers superstar Paul George, although that deal is very unlikely.
