New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose‘s accuser has been given an unfavorable judgement.

According to ESPN, a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled that the woman accusing Rose of rape cannot remain anonymous for the upcoming civil trial.

Most alleged victims of rape and sexual abuse names are kept from the press and public by having their identities placed under anonymous protection, and in this case the woman was identified as Jane Doe in court documents, but that will be changing soon.

The reason is usually to keep the victim from being harassed.

The woman claims Rose and two of his friends raped her back in 2013 while she passed out from vodka, wine, and tequila.

The 30-year-old college student is seeking $21.5 million in damages from Rose.

Rose dated the woman for two years just prior to the incident, and did not deny having intercourse with her, but maintains it was strictly consensual.

The woman has recently conducted interviews and a news conference last week, which prompted Rose's lawyer to ask that her identity be revealed now that she has spoken to the press.

The judge apparently agreed and ruled against her anonymity during the trial. The decision to use the woman's name was given to the direct discretion of the press.
