Paul Pogba's tenure at Manchester United is officially up, with the superstar midfielder becoming a free agent at the onset of June. No longer under contract at Manchester United, Pogba has begun negotiations over a potential return to Juventus, according to reports. Fabrizio Romano indicates that Juve has offered an initial contract to Pogba, one that will pay him as much as $8.5 million (€8 million) per season, in addition to add-ons and bonuses.

After years of speculation, it looks as if Pogba's coveted return to Juventus could finally become a reality. Pogba started his career at Manchester United but never featured for the first team during his younger days. He eventually signed with Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, where he worked his way up to the first team and became a key player for the Bianconeri.

Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus from 2012-16 before returning to Manchester United on a massive $115 million transfer deal. He played six seasons at Manchester United, scoring 29 goals and registering 38 assists in the Premier League, but failing to win a title at the club.

Now, United is once again set to watch him leave on a free transfer, and it seems as if Juventus could be his most likely landing spot. Juve had a down year in Serie A in 2021-22, placing third in the league, but fortifying the midfield with the likes of Pogba could be just what they need to rival AC Milan and Inter Milan for the throne.

At 29 years old, Pogba is still in his prime. While his tenure at Manchester United was certainly tumultuous, there's no reason he can't return to dominance at Juventus, should he reunite with his former squad.
