In the last several days, things have begun to hit up once again regarding All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard's future with the San Antonio Spurs with the latest chatter centered on his desire to be traded. It has once again taken another turn as both Leonard and head coach Gregg Popovich had reportedly met in San Diego on Tuesday.

Following that latest development, Leonard's sister has taken to social media to give some insight on the situation by voicing that things are still up in the air between both sides.

There have been numerous reports that have come out of that meeting that has given more clarity to where things stand outside of what Leonard's sister has now stated. The sit-down between both sides was believed to be planned for the last few weeks that wasn't impacted or affected by the 26-year-old voicing that he wants to be moved by the team this offseason.

It is still a fluid situation that the meeting between Popovich and Leonard allowed for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year to at least voice that he feeling and stance on certain issues that have arisen over this past season. The two sides were clearly not seeing eye to eye on his quad injury that led to him missing all but nine games while pushed him to seek a second opinion away from the team's medical staff.

Given how the Spurs have operated over the last couple of decades, it's fair to assess that they won't overreact or make a rash decision to move their cornerstone player, who is in the prime of his career. There is a desire to have him for the long haul by possibly offering the super-max contract of five years worth approximately $219 million. What this points to is that the Spurs will do their due diligence in determining if things can be worked out with Leonard before truly exploring the trade market.
