The Golden State Warriors will face one of their biggest tests in the young season, as they go on the road against the Toronto Raptors in front of a packed house on “Drake Night.”

Warriors forward Kevin Durant had nothing but good things to say about the league's leading scorer, DeMar DeRozan, who they will face tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

“He's on a tear,” Durant told reporters on Wednesday. “Probably the best footwork I've seen in a long time… in the post, mid-range, he really take his time. His pace is really good and he's making that mid-range shots.”

DeRozan has made double-digit field goals in eight of 10 games, coincidentally the same exact games in which he's scored 32 or more points this season. His mid-range prowess coupled with his aggression getting to the rim have resulted in his evolution as a player, making him a dangerous threat in every arena he sets foot in.

“If he's making those shots in front of you, you just gotta tap him on the ass and keep it moving,” Durant said. “Great players make tough shots and he's been making a lot of them and he's been leading those guys.”

Durant, a four-time scoring champion of his own, knows his team will need to quiet the Raptors backcourt in order to stand a chance to snatch a key win on the road.

“I got to know DeMar and Kyle (Lowry) really well and I'm really happy for what they've been doing, but when we play against those guys, I really hope they both play terrible,” Durant said with a wry smile.
