Sacramento Kings swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic likes that head coach Luke Walton views him as a “combo guard.”

Bogdanovic, one of the best shooters on the Kings, admits he likes to have the ball in his hands and run the offense from time to time.

It looks like Walton values Bogdanovic's playmaking skills and will use him in a variety of ways this season.

De'Aaron Fox is the main ball-handler for the Kings, but it's always nice to have multiple players on the roster who can handle the rock and initiate the offense.

Last season for the Kings, Bogdanovic played in 70 games. He averaged 14.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 36.0 percent from beyond the arc and 82.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Kings have a really nice young core, headlined by Fox, Bogdanovic, Marvin Bagley III, Harry Giles and Buddy Hield. Sprinkled in are veterans Harrison Barnes, Trevor Ariza, Cory Joseph and Dewayne Dedmon.

Walton will have a variety of lineups to use this season. When Fox is on the bench resting, Joseph and Bogdanovic can handle the ball-handling duties and lead Sacramento's offense.

The Kings haven't made the playoffs since 2006. Fans are hoping this is the year the playoff drought ends. Only time will tell if that is the case.
