Sacramento Kings big man Richaun Holmes finds himself in hot water after being accused by his ex-wife of abusing their 6-year-old son. The center's ex-wife, Allexis Holmes, is accusing Holmes of physically hurting and leaving their son with facial and lower-body injuries, per Jeremiah Martine of Fox 40.

In separate incidents, Allexis Holmes claims her son suffered a bruise and contusion on his forehead, had marks on his legs and came back from a visitation with a “bloody knock over his head.”

Holmes did not take the allegations sitting down. He went on Twitter to express himself, though he would later delete the tweets, which read:

“I never respond to allegations but when it’s comes to my son I gotta speak.”

“You have to be goofy as hell to believe that about me…my heart BEATS for my son i live this very life to see him happy and could never raise a hand to harm him EVER.”

Holmes' mother, Lydecia Holmes, also took to social media to defend her son.

Those of u who believe this crap about my son, God help you! The truth will come out! My son loves his son. This is an attempt to discredit him to keep him from getting custody This really have me boiling! Don’t mess with or lie on my son! Now you have to deal with me, You liar!

This has the potential to get even uglier. For Holmes, this seems to be the “personal reasons” why he has been declared by the Kings as done for the remainder of the 2021-22 NBA season.
