The Sacramento Kings are still engaged in trade talks to move point guard George Hill, who was signed to a three-year, $57 million deal this offseason.

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Kings are willing to move some of their recently-acquired veteran pieces in order to make this a full-fledged rebuilding effort and allow for the development of the young players in the roster.

Among them are big man Zach Randolph and journeyman Garrett Temple.

Sacramento has been working on a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, involving forwards Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye, though earlier reports have indicated both teams could be drifting apart on a possible agreement.

The Kings have also put Malachi Richardson and Skal Labissiere as potential pieces to a trade bundle, but will prioritize moving the veterans who have fallen out the rotation.

If they were to complete a trade with the Cavaliers, they would be forced to open up a roster spot to take the two players offered in the swap.

The Kings' main priority would be to take Hill's hefty salary off the books, as the coaching staff has now gone full force with rookie De'Aaron Fox as the starting point guard of the future, hoping to nurture his growth through this system and give him plenty of playing time until the end of the season.

Fox is considered probable for tonight's game against the Miami Heat after he exited Tuesday's contest early with abdominal tightness.
