After the NBA lottery, it was assumed by many that Deandre Ayton would be the number one overall pick going to the Phoenix Suns. The Sacramento Kings, however, who hold the second overall pick, have been torn over the last month. Ayton seems to still be the consensus number one, but the second pick was very much up in the air in terms of deciding between Luka Doncic and Marvin Bagley III.

According to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee, there are concerns around the Sacramento Kings that European star Doncic might take the ball out of De'Aaron Fox's hand and that might be enough to steer the Kings away from him.

Doncic is ready to turn pro in the United States, but in Europe, he has been playing professionally since he was 13. ESPN analyst Jay Bilas thinks that he might be the most accomplished European ever coming into the draft.

“He may be the most accomplished European teenager to ever come into the draft,” ESPN draft analyst Jay Bilas said. “You know, there's very little that is unknown about him. He's not some workout wonder that people are projecting. He's accomplished things, and he has been seen in 5-on-5 against high-level competition for a number of years. He's played professional basketball since he was 13.”

As a rookie, Fox opened up a lot of eyes, and will only get better. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.

The big question that the Kings have to decide now is do they think the two point guards could play next to each other? Or do they both need the ball too much and they don't think it will work out. If they don't go with Doncic another option could be Marvin Bagley III.
