Dion Waiters had always been known as a player who can get shots up. This past postseason with the Thunder, he proved that he could do so much more. Waiters put in the effort defensively and shot a respectable 37.5% beyond the arc in the playoffs.

Whether Dion Waiters is a max player or not is a discussion for a different day, but the simple fact of the matter is that some teams could use his talent. Dion is just 24 years old and still has a lot of room to improve. The team that signs Dion Waiters this summer is banking on the fact that he can improve enough to become a solid two-guard in the league.

Lately, there have been rumors that two teams have stepped up to become major players in the pursuit of Waiters.

Per Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops:

The Thunder will have every opportunity to match any offer that another team proposes to Dion Waiters, but if it is a max contract that either the Kings or Sixers offer, the Thunder may have to let him go.
