The New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies faced off in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night with the visiting Grizz getting the best of the Knicks by a final margin of 127 to 106. The game was not without its drama, however, as a brawl broke out with under a minute to go in the game kicked off by a confrontation between the Knicks’ Elfrid Payton and the Grizzlies’ Jae Crowder:

As you can see, Payton gets a cheap shot in on Crowder as the latter attempts a strong-side corner three and then tries to nail him as he gets up as well.

Payton was clearly miffed by Crowder attempting a 3-pointer with the game well out of reach but nonetheless the usual suspects of Knicks Garden-protectors were involved such as Marcus Morris and the wild-eyed Bobby Portis.

Suspensions were surely be coming for some of the players involved in this scuffle, with Payton clearly being the aggressor in this instance.
