It seems like New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter has his post-NBA career all figured out. According to the 6-foot-11 center, he intends to sign up with pro wrestling outfit, WWE, once he hangs up his basketball sneakers.

Despite being only 26 years old and in the prime of his basketball career, Kanter is already looking forward. He has absolutely no intentions of being a dormant retiree and wants to keep himself busy after retiring from the sport.

“What am I going to do, just get fat?” he said, via Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic. “Get fat and I’ll be bored. I cannot play video games and watch TV all day. I need to do something.”

The typical career path of ex-NBA players usually transitions to either coaching or sports broadcasting — all still within the vast world of basketball. Well, Enes Kanter is anything but your typical NBA player. For the former third overall pick, a life in sports entertainment is where he sees himself in five to ten years' time.

“I definitely want to do it,” Kanter claimed. “And then go to Hollywood from there, like The Rock.”

The Knicks center is not kidding here. In fact, he is a huge WWE fan who has been known to watch live events whenever he has an opportunity to do so.

What's more interesting here is the fact that Enes Kanter is already thinking two steps ahead. As it turns out, he intends to use the WWE as a mere stepping stone towards becoming an A-List Hollywood star.
