The New York Knicks experienced much upheaval on their roster, which has helped lead them to a promising start to the season.

A part of that incoming change has been veteran guard Jarrett Jack, who general manager Scott Perry recently praised for bringing stability to the franchise, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

“He’s brought leadership and stability to the starting group and this team,” Perry said.

Jack has held down the starting point guard spot in eight out of the nine games that he has played this season, averaging 5.1 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 25.7 minutes per game. These numbers don't necessarily jump off the paper, but his presence has brought a steady hand to the backcourt while rookie Frank Ntilikina continues to develop.

The Knicks have been one of the surprise teams through the first couple of weeks currently holding a 6-5 record after winning six out of the last eight games, which has put them tied for the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference.

It may be a matter of time before Ntilikina works his way into the starting lineup, but in the meantime, Jack has been much more than what the Knicks had expected to receive from the late offseason addition.
