With the trade deadline looming, New York Knicks veteran forward Marcus Morris has been one of the names that has been floating in the market as a potential trade candidate.

The 30-year-old addressed these rumors again, reiterating that he is happy playing in New York:

“I’m a vet in this game. That s–t doesn’t bother me anymore. Rumors are rumors,” Morris said, via Marc Berman of the New York Post. “Look, I told you before I’m in New York and love being here. I’m excited to help to turn this around. I’m not paying that any mind. I’m focused on what we got going on in this locker room.’’

Morris signed a one-year, $15 million deal with the Knicks last summer and is currently playing the best basketball of his entire nine-year career. Right now, the former 14th overall pick is averaging a career-best 18.5 points (on 42.8 percent shooting), 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while also knocking down 2.6 3-pointers per ballgame on a 45.4 percent clip.

The Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly shown interest in Morris after they tried to sign him in the summer, and he would be an excellent addition to the team's already formidable rotation. There are a number of other teams interested in Morris, including the Philadelphia 76ers, per Berman.

It is also worth noting that Morris will become a free agent in the summer, so even if he ends up staying in New York past the February deadline, it isn't likely that he will be back in the Big Apple come the 2020-21 campaign.
