Chris Paul has one main focus right now and that's winning an NBA Championship. Paul, for the first time in his career, has finally advanced to the NBA Finals. While that's his focus, others are zoning in on the chance he leaves Phoenix to join the New York Knicks in the offseason.

According to Ian Begley of SNYtv, many agents fear that CP3 could leave the Suns for the Knicks in the offseason.

Several agents for point guards in the 2021 free agent class fear New York as a possible landing spot for Paul. Leon Rose was Paul’s agent before Rose became the Knicks president. But, again, New York would only be an option for Paul if he and Phoenix didn’t reach an agreement. – Ian Begley of SNYtv.

There are many interesting layers to all of this.

One, Paul is in the NBA Finals with the Suns. He didn't join a super team in the offseason, he chose Phoenix and helped get them to this point. With all the success he's having with the Suns, why would he consider a change of scenery to the Knicks, or anywhere for that matter?

Paul has a player option for $44.2 million next season. It's a large chunk of change but Paul will likely opt out to seek a multi-year deal. The thought for some apparently is that if he doesn't rejoin the Suns, he could be headed to the New York Knicks.

Tom Thibodeau's club is way ahead of plans after going 41-31 and earning the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference this past season. They have one star player in Julius Randle and are certainly on the lookout to add another star or superstar. Paul would fit the mold.

The cherry on top of all of this, Leon Rose, the Knicks' team president, was CP3's former agent. The Knicks need a point guard this offseason and are set out to add a good one. Maybe Paul will be the answer.
